The Results Are In!
In keeping with our mission, To inspire and empower ALL youth to reach their full potential as caring, productive and responsible citizens, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Green Country commissioned a research project. Harris Poll Interactive is designed to assess alumni experiences in Clubs and the impact that participation had on their lives. The main objectives of the research were to:
· Examine benefits of length of membership and frequency of attendance;
· Uncover impact of Club membership on adult outcomes including education, employment, family situation, health and avoidance of risk
Alumni reported that Boys & Girls Clubs continue to have both an immediate and long-lasting impact on their lives. Key findings:
- 4.6 years-total years of participation
- 5.0 days a week-alumni frequency of attendance
- 26% of alumni-earned a college degree
- 42% of alumni-the Club helped them to graduate high school
- 37% of alumni-achieved a higher level of education than thought possible
- 97% of alumni-"helping others is a priority of mine"
- 93% of alumni-are satisified with their life
- 81% of alumni-participating in the Club "really saved my life"
